  20.         Too right. I could not agree more.  Why oh why oh why is every 
  21. newsgroup ruined by whiney teeny advocacy.  Having their purile little 
  22. nerd flame wars  LW-V-3DS. The PC-V-MAC. Windows-V-DOS NT-V-Unix. 
  23. Science-V-God.  Kirk-V-Picard...
  24.         You know I always was of tthe impression that computer programs 
  25. were tools. You use them. If you are smart you pick the best one for the 
  26. job in hand. What you don't do is use the selection of a computer program 
  27. to assert your identity. Its just a program, it is not a religion. 
  28.         From my own background I have used 3DS a lot. I am aware of its 
  29. strengths (like Flame and Vapor) and I think I know its weaknesses (like 
  30. managing a complex project). We're getting Lightwave as well because we 
  31. think it has some benefits for us.  That is all. We are not changing 
  32. religions, we will require no conversion process, we will not need a 
  33. priest. 
  34.         In all of this 3DS v LW noise no-one has offered a professional 
  35. and unbiased comparison of the two packages. And yet that would be the 
  36. one thing worth reading.
